Digital Voodoo Announces Future Support for H.264 Codec, Quicktime7, TigerOSX and FCP (6/5/2005)

Digital Voodoo, S. Melbourne, Australia announced that it intended to support, via a series of free future driver releases, the H.264 codec, QuickTime 7, Tiger OSX and the future releases of Final Cut Pro beyond Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 for its entire line of uncompressed SD SDI / Analog and HD SDI video cards.

"Digital Voodoo did a great deal of work to rewrite a unified OSX driver that supports available QuickTime codecs including compression codecs such as DV in QuickTime 6.5.2 and Panther OSX. The logical extension for us is to include support for the H.264 codec with the release of QuickTime 7 and the Tiger OSX," said Craige Mott, Managing Director of Digital Voodoo.
