Dayang Announces D3-Edit 5000 Video Editor (10/5/2005)

A highly versatile addition to Dayang's D3-Edit product range, the new D3-Edit 5000 enables multi-format sources to be edited on a single timeline. Dayang's proprietary RedBridge graphics card enables the D3-Edit 5000 to generate 3D composite effects in real time, with z-axis viewing.

Other major features include four layers of video I/O and 15 layers of animated text. Powerful subtitling tools allow fast formatting with quick and easy detail revision. An extensive selection of preset title templates can be used as seen or quickly and easily modified. The system is fully compatible with DSP effects, VST and DirectX plug-ins.

Integral with the D3-Edit 5000 is a GUI-based full-facility audio mixing console supporting 24-bit audio sampling and providing up to 64 tracks of high-quality simultaneous playback. Dolby 5.1 surround sound production and Dolby E editing are fully supported.

The D3-Edit 5000 allows end-to-end native digital production in a wide selection of signal formats including DVC PRO 25 (DV25), DVCAM (DVSD), MPEG-1, MPEG-2 (10-50 megabit/s), MPEG-2 IBP, MPEG-4, Motion-JPEG, uncompressed YUV, Microsoft Windows Media and Real Media. It is also fully interconnectable with analogue component, analogue composite and SDI equipment. Sync, key and balanced/unbalanced audio I/O are provided. The system occupies a compact 4U.
