News Lightworks Announces the Lightworks Touch Mixer Enhancement (13/5/2005) Since being acquired by Gee Broadcast systems Ltd in 2004, the two companies have been developing integrated and truly tapeless, networked, production systems for TV and film. Lightworks Touch has already been used to edit high-profile productions such as The Aviator, Phantom of the Opera and White Noise. Featuring its unique and much-loved console, Touch version 2.0 has many new features, including enhanced effects and audio processing. Lightworks Touch Mixer Enhancement (M.E.) means audio work on an NLE doesn't need to be painful!
Having to use a mouse and keyboard to independently control multiple audio tracks on editing timelines can be a tedious, miserable task. Touch M.E. adds full control of the 9 independent sliders on the Mackie Control Universal Surface to make the Lightworks Touch editing environment even more responsive to professional editors demands. Being able to adjust 16 channels in real-time with a world-class, touch sensitive mixing console means production time is drastically reduced and becomes a real pleasure. Features include: * Motorised sliders follow viewer focus At Lightworks our ethos has always been to put the editor in complete control by delivering better tools for the manipulation of media and function. Touch M.E. in combination with the Touch Console takes this philosophy even further to make the editor, not the machine, the heart of the system. Lightworks Touch M.E. is a field upgradeable option and can be purchased through the Lightworks sales channels. This includes the Control Surface, enabling software, interfacing control box and cables.
