Sydec Announces New Products Including Editor v5 for Soundscape REd and Soundscape 32, iBox Audio Interfaces and iEdit Controllers (24/5/2005)

Sydec Audio Engineering NV announces a number of new pro-audio products under its brand name Soundscape, thereby confirming its commitment to the continued product development, support and commercial offering of the Soundscape product line.

At Frankfurt Messe 2005, Sydec Audio Engineering will be showing a preview of its Editor v5.0, which will be offered later in 2005 as a software upgrade to all users of the Soundscape REd & Soundscape 32 Digital Audio Workstation. Where Editor v4 already provided the Soundscape platform with support for VST & VSTi plug-ins, Editor v5 now also adds the possibility to play & record native (pc-based) tracks. Sydec thereby confirms its commitment to the hybrid Soundscape 32 platform, combining the best of both DSP & PC-based technology in a single system.

Also at Frankfurt Messe 2005, Sydec Audio Engineering will be showing a number of new 24 bit / 96 kHz audio interfaces in the context of the Soundscape iBox-series, with 24, 48 or 64 I/O channels of various types & combinations (analog, TDIF, ADAT, AES and/or MADI). Each of those iBoxes can be bundled with a Mixpander PCI card and a number of DSP-based effects into a Mixpander PowerPak, creating a powerful customizable zero-latency mixing environment on any Windows XP/2k based PC. This system is capable of running zero latency DSP effects and integrating VST & VSTi effects, with 64 I/O streams and up to 64 physical audio I/O. It interfaces with any Windows-based audio package, using the ASIO2, GSIF2, MME, WDM & DWAVE drivers in a true multi-client environment. Mixpander PowerPak is available today in a combination of TDIF, MADI and analog I/O. First product shipment of models with ADAT or AES are expected summer 2005.

Furthermore Sydec Audio Engineering will be showing a new Firewire 400/800 hard disk rack mount subsystem, called iSDisk 4-F, which allows for offline backup and general hard disk access on the PC. This iSDisk 4-F will be demonstrated in combination with a new version of EDL Convert from Cuibono Software. First product shipments are expected summer 2005.

Furthermore Sydec Audio Engineering will be showing two new controllers to be used in combination with all versions of Soundscape Editor software : iEdit 128-M & iEdit 128-K. Both products are available today. Furthermore Sydec Audio Engineering announces its remotely controlled 8 channel microphone pre-amplifier, the iBox 8-MPA. First shipments are expected summer 2005.

Furthermore Sydec Audio Engineering announces a 64 channel PCI audiocard with optical MADI interface, the Madixtreme. This new professional audio card creates a powerful customizable zero-latency mixing environment on any Windows XP/2k based PC. This system is capable of running zero latency DSP effects and integrating VST & VSTi effects, with 64 I/O streams and 56/64 physical MADI I/O. It interfaces with any Windows-based audio package, using the ASIO2, GSIF2, MME, WDM & DWAVE drivers in a true multi-client environment. First product shipments are expected summer 2005.

Furthermore Sydec Audio Engineering announces a MADI converter box between optical & co-axial MADI (56/64 channels). First product shipments are expected summer 2005.
