TCube announces two new hardware platforms: FIG for High-Definition and CHERRY for DV (20/7/2005)

TCube products consist in software applications that run on specialized hardware like KIWI, the current hardware.

With 3 platforms, TCube supports DV25, DVCPro25, DVCPro50 and SD-SDI on CHERRY, SD-SDI and Composite on KIWI, SD-SDI and HD-SDI 1080I or 720P at any picture rate on FIG.

TCube ports its best-seller applications like color correction, gamut legalization, synchronization and video delay to FIG.

These 2 new platforms represent a major increase in terms of product capabilities without sacrificing on volume (the 3 platforms have the same tiny mechanical size of 1RU, half 19Ó) or cost.

TCube introduces also new functions in HD and SD like SYROCCO, a synchronizer and RGB colour corrector in one box or SEQUOIA, a combination of a video and embedded audio synchronizer, delay and level adapter for embedded audios plus a color corrector and a gamut legalizer. Having all in the same small box makes Sequoia an excellent product for audio-video acquisitions

CHERRY which is primarily devoted to DV to SDI In and Out, it is also capable of transmission over Cat5 cables, the ordinary network cables which run in every company or even home. When using PARROT, specialized self powered repeaters provided by TCube, a remote 600 meters deport capability is a major feature that will widely increase use of DV cameras for everyday event coverings. And SYCOmore, a color corrector and synchronizer, can be plugged into the CHERRY box to give DV cameras similar capabilities as ordinary studio cameras.
