Hi Tech Systems Introduces New Controllers at IBC (3/8/2005)

Hi Tech Systems manufactures multichannel controllers for VTRs and disk servers used by broadcasters and facilities companies worldwide. Renowned for ease of use and accuracy, they are ideal for hands-on operation and include automated functions. The comprehensive features exploit the potential of the recording media for applications including live broadcasts (news, sports, game shows, events), automation backup, transmission, monitoring and QC.

NEW Q-Tracker

A totally new way of controlling professional video players and recorders that exploits the power of Hi Tech controllers to appeal to production staff and technical operators alike. Q-Tracker uses a clear interface, which allows intuitive control of VTRs, DDRs and servers. The operator can rapidly build and access a list of clearly displayed cue points for easy recognition and replay key events without having to rely on a list of timecode references.

Q-Tracker can be used standalone, or as a low-cost add-on for the well-known HT800 series panels. With control extendable up to 1km from the panel, different production areas can be connected according to needs.

NEW dualinXú

Extends live control to a second HT800 series or actiV filer panel to allow two operating stations to independently control the connected VTRs or DDRs or servers. This is ideal for sports where referees and stewards can access and run multi-camera slow-motion in-sync replays to form their critical decisions. The master controller can be housed in the main TV control area with the slave up to 1km away. This low cost solution is reliable and easy to set up and use.

NEW controller line-up

Offers new entry-level models of its actiV and HT800 series of server and VTR/DDR controllers. These retain major features of the established range, including sleek looks, control feedback, easy operation with VTR-like controls. They are complemented by an expanded line-up of options giving greater flexibility for customers to match individual requirements with their budgets.

The new actiV range of 5-channel server and VTR controllers comprises the base model actiV Filer, the actiV Sports adding a T-bar for slow motion, and the actiV Cart Box for a familiar style of live insert operation. These are complete with control panels, popular control protocols, 5.5-inch graphic displays and single playlist capability. Options include more protocols up to five can run simultaneously actiV Loader for playlist translation and transfer, on-screen display, routing switch, scheduling over 10 playlists, video editing, GPIs, master-to-slave linking, scheduled recordings and more.

The new HT800 series comprises 4 and 8-channel VTR and DDR controllers. The base models include 4 and 8 channel controllers, the 4-channel VDCP control, and Sports Controllers with dynamic slow-motion replays. All are complete and include on-panel displays. The options add features such as more protocols, insert and assemble editing and GPI interface.
