ProHD a major focus for JVC at IBC 2005 (10/8/2005)

The new ProHD range offers visitors to IBC 2005 an exciting opportunity to view, discuss and test out products

JVC is to showcase the ProHD range of products for the first time to the European and International broadcast and production community on stand 8.210 between 9 Ð 13 September, 2005 at the RAI Centre in Amsterdam, Holland.

The ProHD range includes the new 3-CCD GY-HD100E camcorder and the BR-HD50E recorder / player.Ê These can record in both PAL standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) using the worldwide high definition standard of HDVTM.Ê The GY-HD100E can be used shoulder mounted yet is light and compact enough for handheld shooting.Ê It comes with interchangeable lenses, mechanical stops on the zoom, focus and iris controls, twin XLRs and camera set-up positions that can be memorised on a transferable SD memory card.Ê

New film production accessories developed especially for the GY-HD100E camera will be on display.Ê These include the 35mm film lens P&S Technik Mini 35 Connection Kit which enables the depth of field, focus and angle of view to be virtually the same as those of a 35mm motion picture camera.Ê An Optex lens adaptor for a 300mm Nikon lens, Chrosziel Matte Box (411-53PK) for control of light and Sachtler tripods will also feature on the stand.Ê

For improvements to workflow and processes, a 40GB hard disk recording solution for the GY-HD100E, model DR-HD100, will be shown.Ê New battery adaptors from third parties such as IDX and PAG will also be on display.Ê Several non-linear editing (NLE) partners such as Avid and Canopus will show how their HDV software supports the ProHD line-up.

Semir Nouri, Product Manager for JVC Professional Europe comments, "Visitors to the JVC stand at IBC will be able to pick up the ProHD range of products and test out the benefits and ease of use for themselves."

A live presentation on ProHD will be given at regular intervals on the JVC stand.Ê Support information will be readily available from the product information counter.

A comprehensive HD and SD display and monitoring area will reveal a new product highlight which is the GD-H40.Ê This 40-inch professional LCD monitor incorporates a new input slot technology for the use of different interface input boards.Ê The monitor offers breathtaking images for broadcast and professional users.Ê In addition, the range of HD and multi-standard DT-V series monitors will be on show.Ê These come in varying sizes including 10-inch, 17-inch and 19-inch models.Ê They are both cost effective and compact in size making them ideal for high-end users whose requirements are to monitor HD SDI and SDI signals accurately, flexibly and affordably.

The popular JVC GY-DV5100E ¸" 3-CCD camcorder with 24-bit digital signal processor can be seen.Ê The KY-F560E ¸" 3-CCD compact video camera with 12-bit ADC and 12-bit DSP will be shown in a PTZ configuration.Ê Both cameras are ideal for the studio environment as they deliver superb, high quality images and are a cost effective investment.

The BD-X200E DVD recorder will be on show for fast professional DVD publishing and authoring capabilities.Ê

The Gold Award winning 3-in-1 recorder player, the SR-DVM70EU will also be a crowd puller.Ê This unit incorporates MiniDV, HDD (Hard Disk) and DVD.Ê It produces efficient and stunning results in recording and playback.
