Canopus Announces PCI Express Version of EDIUS NX for Real-time, Mixed HD/SD Editing Solution (21/11/2005)

Canopus, leaders in real-time digital video editing and codec technology, today announced their new PCI Express-based EDIUS NX real-time mixed HD/SD video editing solution that takes advantage of the affordability and high performance of new dual-core CPU computer systems featuring PCI Express (PCIe) interfaces.

"By supporting PCI Express slots common on the new dual-core capable platforms, the PCIe version of EDIUS NX makes the speed and versatility of dedicated NLE hardware affordable to both SD and HD editors," said Hiro Yamada, founder and chairman of the board of Canopus. EDIUS NX with PCI Express compatibility will be shipping in Europe from December 2005 for a suggested retail price of Û1099 (£749) plus VAT, including EDIUS Pro software. The HD Expansion Kit is available for Û639 (£429) plus VAT.
