Bright Systems and Xyratex Announce OEM Agreement To Develop New Range of Ultra-High Performance File Servers For Post Production Industry (21/12/2005)

Bright Systems, Inc., a market leader in file server and infrastructure technology for the post production industry, and Xyratex (NASDAQ: XRTX), a leading supplier of data storage systems and network technology, today announced an OEM relationship whereby Bright Systems will embed Xyratex's RS-1600-FC-SBD data storage systems into a new range of ultra-high performance file servers.

Bright Systems file servers are designed specifically to meet the challenges of today's high capacity data centric post production environments. The Xyratex RS-1600-FC-SBD enclosure is ideally suited to these data intensive applications featuring throughput enhancing direct disk-to-controller communications and offering capacity of up to 4.8TB per enclosure.
