News Applied Magic Video Corp Introduces The New 400GB ScreenPlay Epic NLE (9/3/2006) With a bigger hard drive, faster processor and loaded with professional level tools, ScreenPlay Epic boosts any video production to a higher level Attention teachers, videographers and independent producers: Since it's introduction, ScreenPlay & Sequel owners have been clamoring for more storage capacity and more video enhancement tools for their nonlinear editors. Applied Magic is heeding the call with the new ScreenPlay Epic. The new ScreenPlay Epic NLE sports a hefty 400GB hard drive, allowing over 25 hours of broadcast quality video or 35 hours of DVD quality storage capacity. The Epic includes a faster processor and twice the memory, which allows for 30% faster merging and improved performance for Neotype CG. The Epic comes standard with all Applied Magic's optional software including Chroma Key, A/B Roll (2-3 camera editing), Pan & Zoom, Neotype CG and much more. ScreenPlay Epic is priced at $2,995 (MSRP). Like Applied Magic's broadcast-level ScreenPlay Plus, the user friendly ScreenPlay Epic is a stand-alone, easy-to-use video editor offering point-and-click speed, drag-and-drop simplicity, exceptional stability and real-time functionality. "ScreenPlay has been on the market for 6 years, and while PC NLE systems have become more stable and feature-rich (as ScreenPlay has) there is still nothing on the market as intuitive and easy to use as the Applied Magic ScreenPlay", said Craig Moffat, Vice President of Sales for Applied Magic. "Now that the new Epic includes three times more storage and is loaded with software add-ons, it is one of the best NLE values available."
