OmniTek to Show Latest Innovations in Monitoring for Post Production at IBC (14/8/2006)

Leading test and measurement manufacturer OmniTek announced today it will reveal v2.0 of the XR dual-link and 2K waveform monitor designed specifically for colorists and post-production editors at IBC in Amsterdam this year, on its booth: 6.329.

"The XR provides many innovative and unique features not available on any other monitoring system, such as 'extreme resolution' waveform and vector displays for total image analysis and real-time colour histogram displays in a variety of different formats," explains Roger Fawcett, OmniTek's business director. "For the first time at IBC, we will show how these displays are integrated with comprehensive audio monitoring capabilities including Dolby, new high-resolution vectorscope zoom functions and split-mode waveform magnification."

Additional features of the XR include support for all 2k and dual-link input formats, user-programmable LUTs to correct for non-linear data, and support for "XYZ" colour space inputs for users working in digital cinema. All are contained in a single cost-effective PC-based package with very high resolution graphics display output.

"The OmniTek XR is the system of choice for all high-end post-production facilities, and is fully endorsed by all the leading colour grading system manufacturers," confirms Fawcett. "OmniTek is proud to demonstrate its complete range of analysis equipment for all aspects of the production process at IBC this year."
