EVS Shows New CleanEdit Suite News Production System With Native HD Support at IBC (18/8/2006)

EVS, developer of digital solutions, hardware and software, intended for the production and playout of sport, news and TV programmes, will show new products at IBC (Booth-8.191).

Software Applications

New CleanEdit Suite is a news production system specifically designed for sport and news and now features native support of HD format as well as SD. CleanEdit is today fully integrated with NRCS systems via the MOS protocol and is compatible with external archive system such as DIVA from FrontPorch.

New IP Director has been developed specifically to allow users to log their OB and live production, add metadata, log sports archives and ingested content in studio environment, to manage studio content for turn around, production application and post production selection.

Multicam LSM for live slow motion is also the most responsive highlight editing system and is used all over the world in OB Trucks as well as in studio; mostly for sports applications. New Multicam LSM version 8.02 release includes the following new elements:

-Paint/target track to allow zoom effects and drawing on replay or during live
-Support of 8 audio feeds

Production Playout Server

An SD/HD production playout server to allow a seamless transition to HD as well as optimize workflows. The power of this multi environment video production server is enhanced with XNet 2 real-time media sharing network combining various XT platforms, XFile or XStore servers to build a complete multi-channel online production network with near online central storage.

Storage/Archive Gateway Solutions

The next generation of EVS Storage/Archive and Gateway solutions allows a better integration and interoperability with 3rd party applications. NEW XStream is a module to allow backup of the recording train from the XT[2] in either SD or HD format on the XFile.
