News JVC Launches LCD displays for HD (20/9/2006) The DT-VL monitor range exclusively uses LCD panels to display high definition images, in the same way that the on-going DT-V range uses good old-fashioned CRT technology. The DT-VL monitors are JVC's latest addition to the ProHD range, offering optimum high definition performance with total flexibility and all at an affordable price. Displaying on the JVC stand and available by the year end, there are two sizes initially, 24" and 20", shortly to be followed by 9". The native pixel resolutions are Wide-UXGA (1920 x 1200) for the 24" and Wide-SXGA (1680 x 1050) for the 21" model. Contrast ratios are excellent at 1000:1 and 800:1 respectively. Unlike the DT-V CRT monitors, all the connectors are already built-in. These include HD SDI and SDI, DVI with and without HDCP. Both displays have wide 170ūplus viewing angles; To optimise signal strength, the HD SDI connectors are gold-plated. A screen protector, with a non-reflective viewing surface, is available as an option. A height-adjustable, tilting stand is supplied standard, besides being equipped with VESA standard mounting holes.
