Quantel Shows New V3.6 Software for iQ, eQ and Pablo at IBC 2006 (26/9/2006)

iQ, eQ and Pablo gain a host of new features and facilities

The brand new V3.6 software package for eQ, iQ and Pablo is on show for the first time at IBC 2006. V3.6 includes many new features, facilities and enhancements across the systems' editing, effects, color correction and workflow tools. Here are just a few of the V3.6 highlights:

New color features:

¥ Six vector HSL preset selection - RGBCMY as requested by colorists
¥ Partial settings transfer - take part of a look from one shot and try it in another
¥ Cascade input source selection - infinite choices for the color correction 'pipeline'
¥ HSL Fettle - a great addition to Quantel's legendary Fettle color control

New features, user group requests:

¥ Segment-based pan and scan - adds versioning flexibility to pan and scan
¥ Batch network I/O - with multi-format outputs to multiple locations - our #1 DI user request
¥ Painting without swiping - streamlines ergonomics for many graphics and retouching jobs
¥ Ref clip conform with destination timecode - ideal for fast re-works from original material

New features requested by ex-Henry/Editbox users:

¥ History archive - can save up to 98% of valuable time and disk space when archiving
¥ Multi-resolution commit - individual or groups of edits, and mixed resolution material
¥ Segment out with tails - lift the whole shot with its handles for easy replacement
¥ Tails display on desktop - see how much you've got to play with

Version 3.6 software will be available in November 2006 and is a free upgrade to all eQ, iQ and Pablo owners with current QCare support contracts.
