Digital Ordnance announces availability of dual link HD-SDI 10 bit version of its Frame Thrower digital playback system (6/2/2007)
Digital Ordnance has been approved by the HPA (Hollywood Post Alliance) to demonstrate the latest version of its Frame Thrower(tm) uncompressed networked playback system in the Demo Room at this week's HPA Technical Conference. Present at the Conference to demonstrate the new product Frame Thrower HD-SDI will be Digital Ordnance Founder & CEO Daryll Strauss.
Daryll comments "We're delighted to have been accepted by the HPA to participate in the Demo Room at the Technical Conference and are very pleased to announce that our newest system Frame Thrower HD-SDI will debut there."
Frame Thrower HD-SDI announced at NAB 2006 in Las Vegas is based on the same proven state-of-the-art hardware and software package as the Frame Thrower(tm) that's currently in use with many delighted users. Same quality uncompressed images, same smooth real time playback, same proven configurations, same flexible storage options, same easy jog/shuttle interface. "The addition of dual link 10 bit HD-SDI output adds value to the overall proposition and lets us reach a different client base. We can now configure the system for the highest quality digital cinema applications if that's a customer requirement" commented Strauss.
Buena Vista Post Production recently took delivery of one of the first HD-SDI capable Frame Thrower systems. James Blevins, Supervisor of the Digital Media Center, Walt Disney Studios commented: "Our Frame Thrower(tm) can be patched to our 2k screening rooms all around the studio. It has become one of our most popular playback options. It is incredibly reliable, client friendly and simple to use, so we don't have to train people how to operate it or provide them with a dedicated technician."
Frame Thrower HD-SDI is available now.
