News Sonic Studio Intros Manual DeClick II (19/2/2007) Industry Standard Gains New Versatility Sonic Studio, LLC, the leader in ultra-fidelity production tools for audio engineers, announced the release of a new version of Manual DeClick, a restoration option for soundBlade and the upcoming PreMaster CD version 2. Manual DeClick II adds new control not found in the previous version. As another addition to the NoNOISE native suite of restoration products from Sonic Studio, Manual DeClick II improves an engineer's ability to remove surface noise, dust on optical tracks and distortion from many common sources with new control over the native DeCrackling algorithm. The amount of repair sensitivity is now adjustable, providing a degree of restoration control previously found only in more expensive, accelerated versions. DeCrackle native is an improved version of the original DeCrackle algorithm used on countless popular CD and DVD titles, motion pictures and broadcasts. Busy indy mastering engineer Roger Seibel, owner of SAE Mastering in Phoenix, Arizona said, "From my experience, when a new 'improved' version of something already good comes out, the new version usually takes a few steps backwards. I must say, I don't know how you guys did it but, the new version cleaned up noticeably more noise while also maintaining better sonic integrity than before." Tom Biener, Manager of Audio Services for Technicolor Creative Services in Glendale California, thinks the new adjustability is key. "The power and versatility of DeCrackle allows me to modify parameters for different scenarios, such as lighter settings for dialogue and heavier settings for ambience scenes, and then choose the best fit for that show." Manual DeClick II for soundBlade is available now for US$795, through Sonic Studio's international network of distributors and channel partners who share the company's commitment to quality and service.
