eCinema Systems delivers 24 and 40 inch full screen RGB LED-based monitors (13/4/2007)

eCinema Systems announced today that it will showcase its next-generation DCM-class monitors at NAB'07. The newly updated line of monitors will feature Full Screen RGB LED (FS-RGB-LED) backlight technology-an industry first-in 24 and 40 inch form factors.

Founder and CEO Martin Euredjian commented on the merits of this technology: "These monitors use thousands of LEDs (red, green and blue) to illuminate the LCD. Nearly perfect shading is achieved through multiple adjustable zones that are automatically stabilized with sensors that measure all three primaries in real time thousands of times per second. The result is superb color and image performance for professional evaluation-grade monitoring."

Cinema Systems is positioning the new DCM-class as a high end color-grading monitor suitable for all but the most demanding grading applications (where the recently announced DPX-class is the only solution that will deliver the required performance).

Euredjian continues; "One of the key benefits of our FS-RGB-LED technology is that they can be calibrated without any loss of R,G or B gray scale shades. Image detail, particularly in the lowlights, can render delicate gradations a lot better than LCD monitors that use CCFL backlights."

As part of the introduction of the new lines, eCinema Systems will be offering special discounts during NAB'07. Resellers as well as end-users are invited to come to the booth to see the new lines and take advantage of NAB-only introductory pricing.
