News Quantel at IBC 2007 (16/7/2007) Quantel is out in force at IBC 2007, exhibiting its full range of efficient, creative and profitable systems for the DI, Post and Broadcast businesses. In addition, several major new products make their European debut at the show and there will also be some further innovations unveiled on the stand. Genetic Engineering One of the show's big hits at its NAB launch this April, Genetic Engineering introduces a new open teamworking infrastructure for Post and DI that increases efficiency, speeds workflow and encourages creativity. Genetic Engineering delivers a step-change in flexibility by close-coupling the production technology with all the people, all of the time. As a result, uptake around the world has been phenomenal. Fotokem's Bill Schultz has called Genetic Engineering "A quantum leap in time and space". Further new developments for Genetic Engineering will be revealed at IBC. Post and DI systems The full Quantel post and DI product range is on show at IBC, all running
the very latest color correction and effects toolsets: News & Sports Production systems A large area of the Quantel stand at IBC is given over to demonstrations that accurately reflect the real-life news and sports workflows of many Quantel Enterprise sQ and Newsbox system users around the world. This will give visiting broadcasters an opportunity to assess their particular needs interactively in a realistic integrated media production environment. Continuing the real-world theme, third party NRCs, automation, asset management and archive applications will also be running, fully integrated with the Quantel workflow across content creation, management and delivery. IBC will mark Europe's first chance to see Mission - Quantel's new Media Asset Management application that is the perfect partner for Enterprise sQ and Newsbox HD systems. With Mission, media acquisition and multi format delivery is tightly integrated with search and tracking of online and archive assets... providing the kind of inclusive, open access media environment that gives broadcasters the competitive edge they need.
