DVS Presents New CLIPSTER Real-time 4K Features at IBC 2007 (4/9/2007)

DVS Digital Video Systems GmbH will present the CLIPSTER(r) DI workstation with new real-time 4K processing features at the IBC 2007. Thanks to the use of a hardware accelerator, significant steps in the DI workflow such as zoom & pan, primary color correction, 3D LUT and cropping may now be performed without delay in 4K resolution.

From September 7 to 11, 2007, DVS will present the latest versions of its systems and products at booth number 7.421. The DVS products will be on display with their new features in four focus areas: 4K, broadcast, digital cinema, and partnerships. The topic 4K emphasizes the pioneering position that DVS occupies in the 4K world and demonstrates with what ease the DVS flagship CLIPSTER(r) handles the finalizing of uncompressed 4K material in real time.

A new hardware accelerator enables CLIPSTER(r) users to perform significant post production stages such as zoom & pan, primary color correction, 3D LUT, and cropping in real time, even at 4K. The real-time processing allows even resource-consuming special effects editing without delay. CLIPSTER(r) supports 100 different graphics formats, ensuring flexible content importing and real-time conversion of video footage to the desired format or resolution.

As a one-stop DI solution, CLIPSTER(r) allows a wide variety of post production stages to be carried out from the same workstation, including film editing, conversion of output formats, color correction, and even film restoration. CLIPSTER(r) is known worldwide to be the only system capable of processing uncompressed graphics file sequences such as DPX or 16-bit TIFF in real time, without prior conversion.
