News Matrox Announces New X.mio2 DSX Developer Product at IBC 2007 (18/9/2007) Cost-effective Matrox X.mio2 card enables broadcast equipment manufacturers to deliver high-performance HD and SD products Matrox(r) Video Products Group today announced the immediate availability of Matrox X.mio2 development units, a new hardware component in the Matrox DSX family of HD and SD video and audio components. Ideal for video servers, NLEs, and CGs, X.mio2 supports up to four HD-SDI inputs and four HD-SDI outputs, 16 channels of embedded audio for each SDI stream, 16 channels of AES/EBU audio input, and 32 channels ofÊ AES/EBU audio output on a single card. Its PCIe x 8 architecture allows up to 2 GBytes/sec transfer speed in each direction for write and read. A powerful onboard compositor/scaler lets users composite up to six full HD layers or 24 logo layers in real time and downscale up to six full HD streams to any resolution in real time. Matrox X.mio2 also provides support for expansion modules such as the Matrox X.DVI module that lets users bring graphics, animation, and video content rendered by the system GPU, directly to the X.mio2, without transferring to host memory. The Matrox DSX product line will be demonstrated at IBC 2007 on stand 7.228.
