News JVC adds 9" and 17" monitors to its high definition DT-VL range (11/12/2007) With HD field production now firmly established, JVC has responded to the need of cameramen, DPs and producers to set up and review their HD material in the field in an efficient and affordable manner. No longer can they get away with using a traditional 10", 4:3 standard definition CRT monitor. These new 9" and 17" displays come with dual power selection of mains or 12V DC and are equipped with a sprung carrying handle. As such they are equally suitable for both field and studio use. JVC's renowned attention to detail gives you fixing points on the rear panel for all main makes of DC battery bracket, ready to feed the monitor's 4 pin XLR connector. A dual-purpose screen protector and anti-glare shield comes standard with the 9" DT-V9L, and is optional with the 17" DT-V17L. A range of accessories, including sun hoods and hard field cases, are available for both models. These two new models complement the existing and highly successful 20" and 24" DT-VL displays, already equipping studios and OB vehicles across Europe. The 24" has full native HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. The 20" and 17" displays are individually rack mountable, whilst two pieces of the 9" model will fit the standard size EIA rackmount. Of great appeal to operators, in studio and field alike, is the front control panel; not only does it have rotary control knobs but it also perfectly emulates JVC's still current DT-V range of good old-fashioned CRT monitors. Between them, the four new DT-VL monitors make a flexible range of high definition LCD displays that meet the important professional user requirements in HD resolution, advanced signal processing and colour reproduction. Additional to the above and known as GD-F (Graphic Display - Full HD) JVC has just introduced a range of large screen, high definition LCD displays of 46", 52" and 65". These monitors are designed to operate 24/7 for years at a time and all have 1920 x 1080 pixel arrays.
