EVS Presents Product Innovations and Workflow Solutions (28/3/2008)

NAB08 Booth Number: C4911 (Central Hall)

EVS unveiled new product evolutions, integrated workflows, and technology innovations that will be presented at NAB 2008. Exclusive and personal demonstrations will be dedicated to engage customers and NAB visitors to new production perspectives.

Exclusively at NAB 2008, EVS will present a new range of product evolutions and future technology innovations that aim to improve production workflows and integrations.

XT[2] native support of post production HD codecs - EVS' XT[2] will be presented as the first production server to natively support both Avid DNxHD(r) (SMPTE VC-3 compliant) and new Apple ProsRes 422 codecs. See unmatched media transfer and streaming workflows with Avid and Apple Final Cut Pro at EVS' booth.

IPEdit - A new online editing application that offers unique on-the-fly editing perspectives. Part of the IPDirector content management suite of applications, IPEdit delivers unsurpassed real-time editing functions for the most demanding speed-to-air workflows.

EVS Media Importer on Final Cut Pro - Thanks to the recent addition of a gigabit Ethernet connection to the XT[2] production server, EVS has drastically improved access to live content from multiple devices. As part of these innovations, the Media Importer plug-in option on Final Cut Pro allows the user to import clips and media available on the EVS XT[2] production server directly onto the timeline editor.

XL[2] lo res server for media control and review - EVS will unveil its new XL[2] lo res hardware system, which works in complement to the architecture of the XT[2] hi res production server. The lo res server offers efficient control and review applications over all media in any production infrastructure.

EditRec - As a new VTR replacement solution for linear editing workflow, the XT[2]-EditRec solution offers advanced functions like networking, edit while recording, and playout while edit functions in the linear suite environment.

Further product developments and technology innovations dedicated to broadcast production and post production will be unveiled on the booth.

"EVS is once again engaging the broadcast industry with a range of relevant and extremely innovative solutions, presented exclusively at NAB08," said Pierre L'Hoest, EVS' Chief Executive Officer. "The visitors to the Las Vegas exhibition are invited to witness our open architecture offering unique integration with the most advanced post production solutions."
