News Doremi Introduces the V1-HD-2K Video Server with Synchronized Two-channel and Dual-Link 2K Resolution Playback (7/4/2008) Doremi Labs introduces the V1-HD-2K with dual-link HD-SDI and synchronized two-channel playback for 3D, video+key and super-widescreen applications. Random access and simple video clip and playlist programming provides for efficient operation. The V1-HD-2K is ideal as a playback device for large screen presentations, concerts and other high-resolution display applications. In a post or video production environment the V1-HD-2K functions as a multi-format digital recorder for SD and HD video. Two-channel playback material can be recorded in one of three ways; simultaneous recording of both video streams, recording the two streams in separate passes or by transferring TIFF files via Ethernet to the V1-HD-2K. The V1-HD-2K features JPEG2000 video compression up to 300Mb/s. JPEG2000 video compression helps to preserve the quality of the video image while significantly reducing storage requirements. The included hot-swap 300GB drive provides up to six hours of storage. An additional 300GB drive or external RAID5 chassis are available as options. The V1-HD-2K features a full function front panel that includes transport controls and a jog/shuttle wheel. It can record 720p, 1080i, 1080p (24, 25, 30f/s and sf), 525 and 625 video formats. In addition, 2k film resolution can be recorded via the dual-link HD-SDI inputs. The V1-HD-2K functions as a Sony 9-pin device via its RS-422 port. It is also Odetics and VDCP (Louth) compatible.
