News Tedial demos integration between its asset management system and Apple Final Cut Pro (14/4/2009) Tedial is bringing its innovative approach to asset and process management in broadcast to NAB2009. On booth SU 6921 it is demonstrating the latest versions of its comprehensive suite of solutions, with new functionality including tight integration with Apple Final Cut Pro. What makes the Tedial approach unique is its seamless integration. Each element of the system - Indexer for ingest, analysis, transcoding, transwrapping and metadata; Ficus broadcast business process management; MPM for creating workflows and managing media; Tarsys audiovisual content management; and AST dynamic hierarchical storage management - can work together to create workflows based around the operational, creative and commercial needs of the broadcaster, unconstrained by the technology. The new integration with Final Cut Pro extends this capability. Access to Tedial functionality is directly from the user menus in the Apple environment, making it completely intuitive in use. Editors can start to work on browse resolution proxies, with the full resolution high definition video being transferred and conformed as required and bandwidth is available. Once a package is complete it can be output in multiple forms to multiple destinations. No other asset and process management system can provide such fast access to content and seamless integration for Final Cut Pro in a true end to end workflow system. "At a time when financial considerations are uppermost in everyone's mind and budgets are tight, it is important to find ways to make the most of your assets and your staff," said Emilio Lopez Zapata, CTO of Tedial. "Our solution boosts productivity on two levels: it makes it simple to design workflows and processes; and it makes those workflows and processes simple, seamless and fast. With our own transcoding algorithms eliminating the need for external processing, no solution is as truly integrated." The Tedial approach to workflow integration and broadcast process management can be seen on booth SU6921 at NAB2009.
