DVS showcases CLIPSTER 3rd generation with new DCI Mastering features including 3D project support (22/4/2009)

DVS advances 3D Digital Cinema at this year’s NAB with its flagship product CLIPSTER®. Innovative CLIPSTER® features now increase the capabilities of DCI Mastering and deliver a new toolset for the creation of Digital Video Packages.

DVS will showcase innovative CLIPSTER® 3rd generation features to visitors at NAB booth SL6920.

DCI Mastering for 3D projects will be among the many new CLIPSTER® features introduced by DVS. CLIPSTER® now converts stereoscopic film data to Digital Cinema Packages (DCP) in real time. All the steps for stereoscopic DCI Mastering, including encoding and MXF wrapping, can be performed quickly and easily via the CLIPSTER® DCI Mastering Wizard.

CLIPSTER® also provides fast and easy conforming of 3D material. A user can generate stereoscopic images by dropping the EDL for left and right eye directly into the CLIPSTER® timeline. Both tracks can be merged together into one stereoscopic video track that can be edited as regular video material. Once the streams are synchronized there is no need to edit left and right eye separately.

CLIPSTER® can now create Digital Video Packages. Similar to DCI Digital Cinema Packages (DCP), Digital Video Packages provide multimedia deliverables for devices like IPTV, DVD, Blu-ray, mobile phones and more.
