projectiondesign premieres cineo32 projectors for post production, VFX generation workflow and calibrated preview applications (14/8/2009)
Norwegian projector manufacturer projectiondesign will exhibit an unrivalled selection of production-specific projectors at IBC 09 in Amsterdam for the first time this year.
Underlining the ever-broadening range of products the company offers to broadcast, post-production and creative media presentation, projectiondesign will be working with Digital Vision and Drylab to present end-to-end colour-managed workflows from on-set review to final grade. Using projectiondesign cineo32 projectors, with Digital Vision Film Master and Drylab's Keyframe Concept attendees will be able to witness accurate reproduction of colours at all stages of the production pipe line.
"We are continually broadening our product range to ensure that we have the right high performance projector for each demanding task. Part of this process has involved working directly with the post houses to calibrate each projector for its specific application," comments Anders Løkke, International Marketing & Communications Manager, projectiondesign.
"We can calibrate projectors to ensure that the projected image has accurate colour and is 100% reliable, this delivers a more secure workflow and a more controllable budget. Or, to put it another way, accurate imaging saves time and money!" projectiondesign projectors are acclaimed for their excellent colourimetry, dynamic range, colour tracking and image uniformity , which combine with the company's proprietary colour management technologies for compatibility with all major calibration tools and playback systems.
"We are well-established in fields such as editing, colourisation and grading, previews, and the screening of rushes and dailies, and are now also seeing our products used in 2D and 3D VFX generation, control-room monitoring, the creation of dynamic backdrops, and other kinds of in-studio projection," adds Løkke.
"Having invested substantial amounts of time and money into the development of products that are perfectly tailored to the creation of high-quality broadcast content, we believe IBC 09 will be a great platform for us to showcase the fruits of our labours. Our proposition really is unique in this market."
At IBC 09, the company will showcase some of its latest innovations, including its newest additions to the production-specific cineo range of projectors, demonstrating the use of available LED lamp technology for greater energy efficiency and reduced cost of ownership and stereoscopic 3D projection.
projectiondesign will be located on Stand C.218 at IBC 09 from 10-15 September at the Amsterdam RAI.
